today, october 4th, marks the 6-week (& 1 day) anniversary of my latest return home from korea, a next-to-useless, inconsequential milestone that i only just realised a few minutes ago as i glanced @ the calendar in an attempt to approximate my next return date 2 korea... that is, of course, assuming i do actually go back (it - 'the return' - is, for various reasons that I won’t divulge here, not the certainty it once was). 6 weeks (& 1 day) ... with diddly 2 show for it... sweet jesus. i don’t remember the sensation of having nothing 2 do from 1 end of 1 day to another, something i’ve plenty of experience at, being this boring. ok, so i’ve caught-up with some folk, avoided some more, cut a few... actually, quite a lot of trees (i was a lumberjack and i was ok), babysat a dog, spent way 2 much time on-line, felted a roof (that bad-boy is now as waterproof as a ducks you-know-what) , drank a few non-ftk beers (just a few mind you), slept, worked out, ate, & developed, thankfully, a 6th sense that allows me 2 foresee, & thus avoid, the i-don’t-give-a-shit reports about the imminent demise of the world economy that every tv & radio station in broadcasting distance wants 2 remind everyone of (i don’t have any money so i don’t care). all that aside, boredom is alive, well & kicking... & it has driven me 2 do this; to create a blog, a blog whose only real purpose, that i can discern for now, is 2 give me something ‘else’ 2 do from day 2 day... i'll be looking upon it as a sort of cyber diary of boredom, one that i’ll no doubt look back on in the coming ‘exciting’ weeks & months, if only 2 reminisce about the good ‘ol days of tediousness. what you, oh dear reader, look upon it as is entirely up 2 you.
